How large is Allergan APS band?

Does anyone know how many cc's an Allergan APS band holds? I have searched and searched and can't seem to find out. I just got my first fill today and he said that he put in 3cc's.

I don't know about the APS band per se . . . but I do know that I have an Allergan band that holds 10ccs. My surgeon put 2ccs in at time of surgery and just added 3 ccs at my first fill last Friday. He says his patients have good restriction at 5.5ccs in the beginning, but I'm feeling pretty darn tight right now! LOL! We'll see as the next 4 weeks go by how the fill feels.

Someone on a different thread found the website that had the band sizes for multiple different bands. Turns out mine is 10cc just like yours. I think I remember my surgeon saying that I had 1.5 cc in there from surgery and then he added 3.5 at my first fill. Today was my first day to know true restriction.....I got the PB's after about 3 bites of scrambled eggs. I won't eat them again!!

This really helps me. I was banded 3/15/08 and have had 3 fills so far and just can't seem to get it right. I have to drive from Tucson to Tijuana each time and its getting a little OLD. LOL The first fill was too loose - I guess I was nervous and it made it look like it was tighter than it really was. I went back 2 weeks later and told them to tighten it and they overfilled it but I decided to just live with it (104 days) and when I got where I couldn't keep much of anything down and was really weak I went back. Now it looks like they took too much out, which I told them when I watched the fluroscope. I'm tempted to find someone closer to do it but I have a feeling it will be expensive...

I emailed my doctor today to ask for the # ccs from each of my fills/unfills. I hope she responds soon since I am gaining weight back fast.

Of the newest line of Allergan bands, the AP, there is a 10cc version and a 14cc.

mine is 14cc and I have had 3 fillls totaling 5cc...don't think I'm quite there yet, but I do think I'm getting close

Hi Thanks for posting the page on the band. This has been really helpful. As I've said before I have an Allergan Large and it would appear the average "sweet spot" fill in this band is 7.8 - great cos i'm at 7 and although I'm getting there - I've not quite hit it yet!! (I know everyone is different though)!!
