Another Newbie

Good Morning and happy Friday the 13th

I'm 53 years old, married mom with two daughters and a white poodle. I work full time and live in Dallas, TX. I'm going to have my surgery at the Richardson Surgery Center by Dr. Anderson. Tentatively the surgery is planned for the last week in June. I wanted it earlier but we have a wedding in Canada on June 11th and I wanted to feel good since we are spending a ton of money to get there and stay for a week. Unfortunately, I'll be going there weighing 296 lbs. Since I don't live by any family, except my husband and daughters, next time the rest of the family sees me, hopefully it will be a new me. I look at the pictures of all of you and I am so motivated!!!! You are all so beautiful!!!

I'm a cash paying customer so I don't have many hoops to go through. I'll keep reading your posts and I'll stay motivated and informed until the big day.

Welcome Terri!

Your day will be here before you know it. Keep browsing through all the new and older posts, lots of valuable information there for the taking.

I was a self pay too, so it went really fast for me.

Make a list of foods/juices you will need and get them in the house before your surgery. Just don't buy too much, you will not need as many as you think you will!

Have fun at your wedding! :)

By the way, what kind of racing are you into?

Welcome Terri,

There is a lot of good advice here. Before you know it you will be a bandster too. In the meantime, have fun at the wedding and eat a piece of cake for me, yummmmm.
