Banded June 12th!! Feel Good!

I was banded by Dr. Overcash in Ocala, FL on June 12th. Dr. Overcash is a no-nonsense, to the point kind of Dr. (which I liked about him right away). Went home evening of surgery. I walked, ate all 2-4 oz of liquid food, etc before being released. Then again it seemed the nurses were trying to hurry me out of the hospital room. Was able to sleep laying flat on back in my own bed 1st night and after w/no problems. Have heard some people can't lay down or can't get comfortable - but I did great. I took a few Percocet especially first 2-3 days but haven't except at night since 3rd day. I had no shoulder pain, not much gas pain, just pain in areas of port when bending which is to be expected. I took Arnica Montana for a few days before surgery and continue to take it. I have very LITTLE bruising. I also have been taking the GASX strips every day several times a day so I think that helps with the gas pain. 4 small little cuts and 1 large 3 inch or so. All look very good and healing very well. The pain I had was about what I expected, which is pretty tolerable. I've been drinking protein shakes, ns/nf pudding made w/skim milk mixed w/dry milk for added protein, cream of chicken soup w/added dry milk for added protein, sugar free popsicles, Viativ chewable vitamins, etc. Everything going down no problem (then again no fill yet). So far I am very happy with my decision. My only concern now is how fast I can make the scars disappear. Ordered some Kelo-Cote scar treatment to put on them in a week or so..... and waiting for my fill in 5 weeks or so.
