A little confused

Hi all, I have a question.

I was banded March 17, 2008, am down almost 30 lbs and trying to maintain until I get some restriction. I go for another fill next week. I have little to no restriction yet, but I am hoping it is coming soon, lol

My question is about the "pouch" I have heard you all talking about. I guess I didn't realize with lap band we had a pouch. It especially concerns me when you talk about stretching your pouch because with no restriction I can still eat pretty much whatever I want.

Am I don't damage by not limiting my amounts of food until I get restriction?

This all confuses me, sorry.

Hugs,

Dottie

Hey! The band is placed before your actual large stomach, therefore making a small pouch before your stomach. I was banded 2/1/08 and had the same situation before my first fill. They told me to get my first fill 6 weeks out. What did your Dr. say? I could really eat a fair amount, but didn't do any damage to my pouch. You'll probably be fine, but just be careful about it.
