Life insurance in Canada?

Does anyone know of a life insurance company that might insure me even if it is for a smaller amount with a higher premium?

( I am obese, and I have diabetes Type 2)

Any recommendations would be appreciated. I'll do the homework if all you have is a Company name.

Thank you

Tyler,

Phone a broker that deals with all the companies someone like Money Concepts, their allegiance is to the deal rather than specific companies and they can get you quotes on a variety of types and coverages etc.

Good luck it all depends on your overall health expect to pay more as an obese person though.

quick update: I'm currently coresponding with an insurance broker that the Canadian Diabetes Association has refered me to. I hope to find out more in the coming weeks.

I wonder if my life insurance premium would be reduced, now that I've lost weight? Any thoughts?

Its worth a try. My broker found me a plan (high premium!) and told me to call him back when I have lost weight to get a lower premium.

I've actually gained weight since then, but once I have my band and have lost weight I will call him to redo my insurance.
