Second Fill

Recommended Posts

Going for my second fill today. I have the 11cm band and my first fill was 3cc. It has been 3 months since that fill and I am long due another. Wouldn't have waited so long but it is so expensive here that I haven't had the extra money. I put back on most of the weight I had lost, which wasn't much since fill anyways. I have since lost it again but it has been very hard with no restrection. Wish me luck!

Hi soon2bskinny

I've just been for my 3rd fill about 1 hour ago and am really hoping it will do the trick as my weight loss has not been good - 14lbs, 12 of those lost in the first 2 weeks post op.

I was banded in May this year and have a 9cm band fitted. With my calculations it must be about full now.

I sympathise with expense side of things, as I'm from the UK it doesn't cost - well not directly anyway!!!!!!!!!!

At the moment I can feel the restriction without drinking so I'm hoping it will settle down and is not too restricted.

I've not been given any advice on what to eat/drink after a fill and wondered if anyone out there can give me some tips. Good luck with the next fill and looking forward to talking more to you all soon.

Hey bev, I have not yet had a fill, but from what I understand after a fill you go back to liquids for a day or two, then mushie for a day or two, then soft, then regular foods. Just take it slow while you adjust to the new fill level. Good Luck

Thanks for that Desiree. Here in the UK the dietary advice is very limited. Although am due to see my consultant and dietician in November and I'm really hoping my weight loss is going to be going in a downward direction. I'm hoping to be posting more positive replies on this quite soon.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
