Newbie from NJ

Hello!

Nice to find people my age! I was banded in Dec 07, coming up on 6 months. Best thing I ever did! I'm down 55lbs & 3 sizes, I feel great. I dieted for 40 years without permanent success. But banding is a powerful tool. There's still alot you have to do for yourself, like exercising & eating the right foods, but you guys know all about that! Why does dessert go down so easily? Anyway, just thought I'd say hello.

I was told soft deserts such as ice cream and pudding should be avoided in most cases as the LAP-BAND is not designed to restrict such items.
