Okay my surgeons office sent in my paper work for insurance approval. So i called my insurance company, BCBS of MICHIGIAN, last friday & asked them have they received my information & they said they received it on 5/13 & it is still being reviewed. Now i understand they don't do a pre-approval, so what will they do:confused:. I am so ready to get this show on the road before the long summer hot months come. I have not even got a date yet. I guess the surgeon is waiting for approval also. I have been through everthing but i have to retake the breath tec test on this friday. I hope i pass it this time. Anyways i saw one of the girls that works where i do that was banded about a year ago & may i say she looks good . Everytime i see her i get so excited knowing that is going to be me soon, hopefully:thumbup: I am just sooo ready to do this!!! Anyone with BCBS of MICHIGIAN please let me know how long did it take for you to hear something & are they hard about approving. thanks

I have been waiting for BCBS of Michigan to respond for 4 weeks. I have called them and they don't even acknowledge getting the paperwork. I don't understand their procedure either. They told me to have my doctor's office call and inquire about the status. I guess that will be next, hopefully. I am also getting anxious. I had hoped to not go through another summer feeling so miserable. I hope you hear soon. I know the frustration.:confused2:

Did you ever get your approval from BC/BS of Michigan? I have been wondering as I am still waiting. I wish I knew how long it might take too.

This whole procedure consumes your life until it is settled. I guess I'm getting worn out with it, but I am not going to quit. I am determined to do this. I haven't been able to find anyone else that has bc/bs of MIchigan.
