Top/blouse size after reduction ??

Recommended Posts

I am scheduled for breast reduction 6/26. I can't wait. I am just curious as I find myself checking out cute tops in the stores wondering if I will be able to wear them?

I was in 2 to 3x prior to weight loss. I am now probably in a 1X. Did anyone go down a few top sizes post-surgery?

Hi MaryRose,

I'm scheduled for next Friday, 6/6. I am currently wearing some 1x's, but most are too big. I fit in a few extra larges, but some are too snug. It's hard to find any shirts that fit right now.

I'll probably be able to buy new shirts before your surgery. I'll let you know what fits.

Thanks Mango. :P

I am still wearing my old tops from last year and need to purchase some new stuff, but have been holding out waiting to see how things turn out. I can't wait to pick up a few new things. I did lose weight on top, but it was mostly "back fat" because I am still wearing the same bras, and they unfortunately still fit! I'm hoping I can fit into a size large top. I would be happy with that. I am in a 1X now.

I would love to hear how you make out! Good luck with your reduction.

Are you nervous?

I had breast reduction in 2004. Can't say really went down in clothing size because I carry most of my weight around my belly. Now my belly is bigger around than my boobs! I don't regret that surgery, the only problem I had, and still have, is I have to wear sports bras that tend to flatten ya (which wasn't in the plan...geez). My scars continue to itch and drive me crazy even now. Hope with banding (Tomorrow!!!) I can lose the belly weight and get my proportions back.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
