Will your insurance cover any emergency removals or care?

I've been wondering the same thing. I will have to self pay as my insurance covers NO bariatric surgeries at all.:wink2:

I talked to my doctor about this and her reply was that my health care plan's emergency services will not turn anyone away. That said, there would still be bills.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

My lap band surgical group said that they are contemplating a supplemental coverage plan for self-pays that would cover slippage re-op or removal, but they have not offered it yet and that I would have to pay if needed.<o:p></o:p>

You should ask the group, but the chance of complications is slim and depends, in part, on your compliance with the lap-band protocols.<o:p></o:p>

Mine doesn't. I specifically asked about it. If the surgery excluded, so is everything related to it including all pre- and post-op testing and services I get due to complications.
