Today is the Day!

Wish me luck! My surgery is scheduled for this morning -- just a few hours from now. I can't believe I'm not even nervous. I'm just anxious to get this over with so I can start my journey. According to my scale, I've lost 11 pounds on the two week pre-liquid diet. I'm curious about how much I'll gain back from the surgery. See ya!

Good luck to you!!! I have to leave for the hospital myself in about an hour. EEEEEK!!!

We'll do GREAT!

Just want you to know I will be praying for you. I'm 62 years old and my surgery in February was a breeze! I work as a church secretary and after having my surgery on Monday morning was able to go in on Thursday and do the church bulletin. I did get very tired. I was only on liquids for a week prior to my surgery and lost 15 pounds from the time I started liquids until I returned for my 2 week check. I've NEVER been able to lose weight like that and now, 2 1/2 months out I've lost 28 lbs. I don't think you will gain after surgery! I thank God everyday for the wonderful tool and it's so great not to be on a diet! I've had 2 fills and I think the biggest difference with me is that I eat so little...not what I can't eat but how much of it! I have a little trouble with dry meats but if I chew, chew, chew, and take little bites I can eat about anything.
