surgery on the 30th!!

i just met with my surgeon on wednesday, and next wednesday is surgery. so soon!

i was told to go on a pre-op diet for two weeks, and i messed up big time. i went in panic mode or something and started eating all the things i would never be able to eat again, at least not a full meal of it. yeah, i failed already, but i'm not discouraged just yet.

i know i can stick to "the rules" when i'm banded, even when i already messed up.

anyway, i'm excited for next week!

I’ve been fine the entire time but now I’m getting butterflies in my tummy knowing that this time tomorrow I will be in the hospital being prepped for surgery. Woohoo!!! I wish you all the best and hope to speak to you all soon.

BTW.. How long is everyone taking off from work? I was originally going to take two weeks but I extended it to three, since I never had surgery and I don’t know what to expect.

Take care,

Jenn

I'm taking off only 4 days...my boyfriend owns a bar that I do the lunchtime shift at so I figured it would be good to do the walking. I hope I love my band as much as you do Donna! 1 more day!!!!!!

I am suprisingly calm today, and I can't believe how fast time has gone by! Just cleaning the house to keep busy and not think about food!!

I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am, I may not even go to sleep tonite.

Good luck every one! Lets meet up here on this thread Thurs/Fri (or when your feeling up to it) to check in with each other!!

Man who new this would be sooooo nerve racking. I said goodbye to my family and I leave for the airport in an hour. My pre-op appt is today @ 4:30. So I'll get to meet everyone for the first time. My surgery isn't until 11:00 tomorrow so I'll have some time in the morning. Looking forward to actually being in the banded stage. Goodluck to everyone.

how's everyone doing? i'm in pain and ca't really do much but lie down or walk around a bit. i'll post more of my experience later when i feel better.

hope everyone's surgery went well!

I have pain also. I think I over did it flying back home today. But it's always more comfortable in your own home. So hopefully 'll be feeling better soon. Looking forward to everyones experience.

Take care,Laura

I got home today, sore and so tired. Feel like Ive been kicked in the stomach. I thought I would feel the band and port on my insides, but I don't. I suppose that's good news. I am already sick and tired of sugar free popsicles and broth. Hope I can get through another 3 days until I can have some creamy soups!!!

keep in touch!

Kelly
