HELP!!! Don't know whats wrong!!

Hello,

This is my first post on here, although I have been banded 4 1/2 years!! Since Monday, my band has become really tight for no apparent reason.

I have not been overeating etc but even Water is causing discomfort.

I will be honest, I don't stick to the rules but then after this long it is hard to sometimes!! but I have lost 100lbs and had a baby inbetween!

I am really worried though and don't know what to do about this. My surgeon is quite difficult to get hold of at times. Any suggestions as to why this has happened after all this time? I have not had a fill for about 1 year. Please help!!

Jackie:confused2:

Have you never had moments of "unexplained" tightness in the 4.5 years you've been banded? I seem to get them a few times a month.

I got really tight, for a while, when I was (am) pg. :bolt:

After you PB'd once did you keep eating? Maybe you just irritated your stoma. Going on liquids for a few days can reduce swelling. If you sre still tight, get to your doctor. You may need an unfill.

I would say you need to go on liquid Protein until you can talk to your doctor. At least call them and hear what they have to say.

If you are pbing, everything inside is irritated, and you should be on liquids until things calm down.

Jackie123 - Post this on smartbandsters.com (yahoo group) and ask Jessie (bariactric nurse) about it. She's been banded for 8 or 9 years.

Thanks everyone

I am sticking to a soft/liquid diet as I can't eat anyhting else really!!

I will post this on smartbandsters as suggested. I have managed to get an appointment with my surgeon but not until next Friday.

I suppose the only positive to this is how much weight I could lose!!
