which is better ?

I have decided to start walking/moving this month to see if that will 'jumpstart' my weightloss.

My question is :

Which is better? walking for 20-30 minutes every day or walking for 1 hour 3x/week ?

My trainer has a "mantra": Exercise is only as good as how consistent you are with it. He annoys me often, but I love his results:)

For me I would think 20/30mins every day vs 1hr 3xwk would be the best bet when starting out. Get in a routine, make it something you do for yourself everyday - that 30minute walk. I had a hard time in the beginning being somewhat selfish and carving 30 or 60 minutes to myself to walk. After 45 days I re-joined the gym I left 4yrs ago - and got serious in working out.

Now - I get p!$$@& if my regular gym routine is messed up & I let the hubby know (he's the ususal culprit of changing times). Be selfish w/yourself !!!

I think the 20-30 min every day would be better for starting out. Then you could work up to an hour 3x a week while still doing 20-30 min of brisk walking the other days.
