I have lost all restriction!!!!!!

I had a small fill 10 days ago. 1/2cc. Prior to that, I used to get stuck at least once a day, I tend to eat fast. Since this fill I have no resistence at all. I have gained 5lbs. I am so upset...........SHould I go back and do a couple days of liquids? Is the band leaking? call the doctor. can someone please help me. Thanks:sad_smile:

I'm guessing you should definitely have your Dr check for a leak, That's pretty easy for them to determine. If your getting stuck, the reason could be your eating too fast - not necessarily that you had great restriction at the time. I had a tendency to eat fast (especially after a workout)...Now it's a lot more chewing, and I still struggle at times when I'm just so use to shoveling it all in.

As far as liquids - yeah I'm sure you'll loose the 5lbs you gained...but I've been advised (and read here) that you really should be eating your meals not drinking them. Your best bet is to get into your Dr and get a consult on what your experiencing. Hope it all works out!!!

You probably already know the answer to this question -- you should call your doctor. None of us can acurately diagnose what's going on with your band. It could be anything from you needing another fill to there being a leak. You've been banded a long time, so I'd be surprised if you lost ALL of your Fluid so quickly. And I don't know what going back on liquids would do to help, but I could be wrong.

I sure hope it isn't a leak and it's just you needing another fill! Good luck! Let us know what the doctor says if you end up seeing him/her.
