Avatar Help

I keep trying to upload an avatar to my profile, and it keeps saying "unable to save image." It's the proper size and everything (image below). What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

is it the right size? 50x50 pix or 19.5kb?

I am getting the same message -

I go to edit avatar - custome is selected go down to browse - I select my pic and save and get this message - it's a small picture - I don't know the size - it's no bigger than my current one...
