My employer is a small private company and they don't have the rider for WLS.

DH works for a large company and has different options for Insurance. If I switch to his insurance, how would I know how long I'd need to wait to get approval for surgery? Is that even possible, ya know, to subscribe for coverage to a new insurance and then immediately apply approval for surgery? :embaressed_smile:

DH's current insurance is BCBS of VA.

Any thoughts?

You might want to speak with the insurance coordinator at the surgeon's office that you're planning to use. I have BCBS of MA and the insurance process went smoothly, but my bmi was 50, so I don't think they cause too many hiccups when someone's bmi is so high.
