Port question

Hello everyone!

I was banded 11/23/07. Weight loss has been great and I get my first fill on the 10th. (Very excited!)

I have been really concerned about my port lately. At times, I feel a pinch just under my largest scar. Other times, the area feels numb. I feel one or the other almost every day the past few weeks.

I realize the best thing to do is get it checked out at my first fill appointment. I'd appreciate any insight/opinion/experience though.

Thanks in advance!!

~Nancy

Don't mean to alarm you, but my friend''s port had to be replaced just a few months after her banding. It turned into a real situation......you might mentionit to your surgeon if it doesn't feel better soon.

Thanks Jack and Gayle.

Today, the area feels numb when I touch it. No pain. Just an annoying numbess. I am keeping positive. :crying:

2 more days til my first fill!!
