How many cc's in your AP small band before restriction?

I was banded on 2/13. Just had my first fill this morning. Water went down fine but felt burpy and gurgly. Came home and had 2 cups of Soup with no problem. I am anxious to lose weight and want restriction.

My doc said my band was the small AP band that holds up to 10 cc's. He put in 3 cc's for my first fill when I told him I could eat a cadillac on a bun!

What is your experience?

Marie

Same here. I have had three fills and up to 5.2 cc go in for a check on Monday and might get another fill. I feel it a lot more now than I did when I had my first and 2nd fill. Keep in mind everyone is differant and reacts differantly to band.

Chris

I also have the small AP band. I could have eaten two cadillac's on buns up until my 4th fill. (1.5,1.5,1.5,2 ccs) After the 4th one I could still eat one cadillac (no bun!). Finally had my 5th fill, for a total of 7.5 cc's and have blessed restriction, hallelujia!!!! Now I can't even eat a whole chicken breast. I have lost about 5 pounds in 2 weeks which is amazing for me, I am a really slow loser. So hang in there and get your fills as often as your doctor will allow you to and keep at it until you get the right restriction - believe me it does happen (I seriously thought it wasn't going to) Also, the tightness and gurgling you feel after this fill are what you are looking for with restriction... but I often had restriction for a few days after a fill because of swelling, would get all excited, then it would go away. So I repeat, keep getting the fills you need and get the full advantage of the band. Good luck!
