healing wounds

Hi everyone! I'm new! I was banded last Friday 3/4/05 and everything was going smoothly until my 19 month jumped on me and one of my wounds opened yesterday. Now I have this weeping going on since. I have put some butterfly band-aids over it and trying to keep it clean. Any advice would be appreciated.

How long will this go on.

Ouch!! I'll bet that wasn't fun. But I'm sure it will heal up as quickly as it did the first time, barring any infection. Are you going back to your doctor for a checkup?

If it shows any signs of being infected obviously you should have it looked at by a doctor. If you can't get back to your surgeon go to your regular doctor for treatment. You don't want to play around with infections!

Welcome,

Have you called the Dr's Office???

I would say you are doing the right thing by keeping it clean But that is me. Call your doc let them know what happened and see what they advise. Maybe it is already the same thing you are doing.

Did not see Alex post but I agree with her..

My Dr. said that if I experienced ANY weeping I was to call his office immediately. They should be able to repair the wound in office.

Thanks everyone, the wound has closed up, I called my OB for advise because he did three c's on me and helped advise. I had my surgery in Mexico, I called them and they said the same things. All is going well, I'm losing weight and excited.
