Help please

I was banded on Feb 6, I lost about 15 lbs on the pre-op diet, and I have lost about 11lbs since surgery. Thats 3 wks just 11lbs, I have lost zero this past week, but not gained. Am I doing anything wrong? I feel that it should be just falling off of me, all I eat is soup or liquids, makes me very sad.

Take a day and calculate how many calories you are consuming. You may not be consuming enough. I was on Clear Liquids and only lost 4lbs in a week, my Dr.s moved me to mushies because he said I wasn't consuming enough - the first 2 days on mushies I lost 5 more lbs!

I never knew that eating to little could halt your weight loss.

I told my Dr. I was getting between 300-400 calories a day on liquids. He said that wasn't enough - Now I am getting 800-1000 a day on mushies. AND LOSING!

how do i know how many calories I should have?

You can track what you eat on a free web site such as The Daily Plate and that will tell you without you having to write things down and remember everything.

I lost 12 pounds immediately after surgery and then nothing for 3 weeks... just my body adjusting to being banded. Remember, we average just 1-2 pounds a week with the band. Look at the big picture. Your body is healing and it's not really about weight loss right now.

Just keep following your doctor's orders and stick to your diet. Until you get restriction almost any weight loss will be due to your dieting efforts following your post-op diet. I've had 2 fills and I'm still pretty much doing it myself with diet and exercise.

Hang in there and don't get discouraged... it will start happening for you!
