Need postop expertise!

I am not banded yet, but I am curious as to what foods you CANNOT tolerate or aren't allowed to eat. What about pasta? Can you eat foods like spaghetti, lasagna, pizza, etc?

It varies with every person, with how tight your band is, and with other factors (like water gain from period for women). If you read 50 posts, you'll get 50 different answers.

While I'm sure that some can tolerate those foods listed, they are probably not the best choice of foods. Now...with that being said, I will nibble on spaghetti sometimes and have an occassional piece of pizza, but I usually can't eat an entire piece because it gets pretty uncomfortable.

The foods that I stay away from because I can't really tolerate them are:

Bread

Scrambled eggs

Rice

All these replies are true! What you will find is that FOR YOU somethings work and others don't. Like Mum, I can't eat eggs very well at all. Then, there are the little surprises in life, like I ate Food X yesterday or last week and today it's not going down. That's the band. It's a little touchy at times and so most of life is trial and error depending on your fill, how tight you are, and sometimes there is no rhyme or reason to why you can or can't eat a certain food. You'll never get bored trying to figure it out! HAHA.

All these people posting they have trouble with eggs are making me  I lurve eggs!
