I am so excited and starting to really get freaked out over the surgery. I mean less than two weeks to go and then I will join the league of bandsters and start down the path to my true self (I know she's hiding somewhere under all this fat). Now I just need to keep my cajones and last out until after surgery. I keep hearing this nagging voice telling me to keep trying the old fashioned way and I am just ready to scream "I have, it didn't work." I am glad there are others on my same day, maybe we can help each other with food choice and stuff afterwards. "Like hey I just tried mashed potatoes and they went down really well." etc. Good luck friends.

I also am having that nagging feeling that just maybe if I try it one more time I can do it with diet and excersize. A friend of mine who has already had the surgery keeps telling me to not freak out and that I will be doing "it" the natural way but with some help. She has also told me even with the minor issues she has had with her surgery, she would do it over and over again. :takes deep breath: I will not chicken out... I agree that it will be nice to be able to talk with other people who are having the surgery on the same day, because we will be going through alot of the same things around the same times... LOL I am on the pre-op liquid diet right now, 1st day and I already cheated... I was doing fine until I got off work and had to run errands, I got so hungry liquid was not working, I thought I was going to pass out so I bought a burger with some protein. argh! I wish I would have been more prepared. I will do better tomorrow.

Man I am on day 8 of liquid and still going strong. I went to my post-op nutrition class and met two people who are alos having surgery around the same day as me (one on my day and one the next). And I am a little mad. One of them has been on the liquid diet for one day less than me but he eats sugar free pudding, and soups and stuff while I was told over and over again that I could only have slim fast, protein powder and water (which can be flavored with crystal light if I choose). I want soups, I want pudding, I am sick of slim fast and crystal light. And the other girl, she only started liquid today, she was on a cruise and got to eat real food for another week. I am depressed by my food choices and now I am upset that I feel like my request for broth should be allowed since the other people are obviously getting such an allowance for food and everything else.
