Finally Banded!

It's funny how a mind works... When I first went to the hospital I was told there were no vacant beds, and that I had to reschedule the appointment.

I have been on a 2 week pre-op diet but the first thing that went through my mind was Burger King...a huge Meal.

After not accepting that and waiting a few hours, they found one, and in I went.

My operation was 30 minutes long, but I took 2 hours in the OT area... waiting before and after the operation.

Now it's a liquid-only diet for 4 weeks ( They've been giving me Jello, juice and Water in the hospital ).

It's not as painful as I expected but the staples on my port side(yes, just like a boat it's on the left) hurt a little when I laugh or cough.

I'm feeling happy! :)
