looking for doctor

i am looking for a good doctor in the Charlotte,NC area. I am wanting to get the band done soon. What do I need to do. I have contacted my family doctor, and she thinks its a good idea. Should i contact my insurance co, of should i let my doctor contact them.

    Have you looked at obesityhelp.com (they have a search function to look for bariatric doctors by state)? I've heard good things about Dr. Voellinger at Southeastern Bariatrics. Good luck!

    I went to lapband.com and found a seminar schedule in my area. Then I selected a seminar and attended it. The surgeon spoke to the gruop.
