Hey Gilliebean, that does not sound like fun at all! I have not had that issue but I also take birth control so that keeps my periods pretty regulated. I was just wondering though - were your periods pretty regular before? I know that for some bigger ladies (couple of my friends had this problem) their periods would be on a strange cycle and come farther between than say your average 28 days (or whatever it is). If not, could it be with your weight loss (fantastic by the way, just awesome!) perhaps your body is trying to "re-regulate"?

When you say "they" say it's normal - are you refering to your Lapband surgeons office? Is it worth maybe getting the opinion of your primary care physician?

Hope things normalize for you! I hate once a month let alone way more than that, omgosh I couldnt even imagine!! *HUG*

no they were not regular before but never more than once a month. I do think i need to go see my gyno and get back on the shot since my surgeon says its safe to do now i hope that helps cause i would love to be regulated.

Aside from getting mine on the day of surgery 3 days too soon, it was back on the normal track since then. But then again, I was always regular.

I would definately talk to the doctor about it. Getting it so frequently can reek havoc on your daily life.
