To fill or not?

That seems to be my question lately. I know the answer, but I think mainly I just need to vent and write it out to get some advice from others.

I had surgery on Nov. 5th. I've been pretty successful with my weight loss, but lately it's been through exercise and diet that I've been able to lose. Some weeks I will lose 1-2 lbs but then stay the same or even gain 1. I saw my surgeon on Wed. and I told him I felt ready for my first fill. He's an AWESOME Dr. and I am glad I chose him. He doesn't follow a certain fill schedule it's when he and his patient feel ready for the fill. I can eat everything and anything, I get hungry between meals, I find some of my old habits such as night time snacking creeping back, I almost had to beg for it. He was very happy with my progress so far and wanted to be sure I really needed it.

So now my fill is scheduled for Wed. He does them under flouro and with barium. Now I am feeling like I did before my surgery. How will everything change? Will I not be able to eat salad, bread, meat, etc.? I've not had any trouble with anything so far. Will I start PB'ing on everything? I know I got the band to help me control my portions and lately it's been such a struggle to control my portions, so why not let my band work for me? I know I am rambling and I'm sorry, I just need to be reassured that this is why I chose the lap-band, and to use it. Anybody else felt nervous before their first fill?

Hi,

I've never had a fill either. I'm almost done loosing. However, I think I want to try a fill the next time I go in. I don't have a lot of restriction but feel I could eat a bit less at meal time. I want all the help I can get when its time to maintain so figure thats my next move? Still debating, I'm a tad nervous also.
