Your favorite mushie proteins

Hello! I was banded on 1/28 and am now eating mushies. I was hoping to get from everyone their favorite mushies that they ate for Protein. Did anyone blend up chicken, and if so, would you mind sharing how you cooked and what spices you used to make it palatable?

Have a wonderful day!

Blended chicken wasn't on my mushy list.. scrambled eggs were though.. scrambled eggs w/ cheese is high protein and tastey!

my favorite mushie is fat free refried beans with a sprinkle of grated cheese and a small dollop of light sour cream. So good! If you like mexican food, that is. I don't even really miss the chips.

I tried to blend chicken and it made me gag. Not a band gag, but just a "omfg that's nasty" gag.

My favorite mushies were:

  • Refriend Beans, black or pinto, preferrably of a spicy & fat free variety. I may or may not have added sour cream, cheese, hot sauce, and chili verde.
  • Hummus
  • Edamame puree with garlic and butter
  • Cottage cheese
  • Really wet meat (chicken, tuna, etc.) salads

And probably a few others I've forgotten.

One of my favorites from the South beach diet(that just happens to be mushy) was cottage cheese with some sugar free jello thrown in. Just chop up the jello and stir it together...it was almost like cottage cheese with fruit, but no carbs!!

I prefer to mix the dry sugar free Jello mix with cottage cheese, and for a treat, mix in some sugar free cool whip. Lots less calories without the cool whip, though, even sugar free.

My faves are refried Beans and cottage cheese. They are still staples in my house for days when my band is being finicky.

My favorites were, in no particular order:

fat free refried Beans with a little sour cream

cottage cheese with chives

scrambled eggs (or eggbeaters)

eggbeaters omelet with cheese

Fage yogurt with a little honey

tuna/crab/or salmon mixed with mayo and a little relish

crabcakes

baked ricotta (ricotta mixed w/a little eggbeaters and parmesan, topped with pizza sauce and mozzarella).

The idea of pureeing meat kind of grossed me out...
