Post op hunger

My husband had surgery on feb 23rd. i will be on march 14. I have a question.

We have been told to keep his liquids to 4oz and hour. Are we supposed to stop for a certain amount of time before he gets more or can he start another hour as soon as the first hour is up? He seems to always be hungry. He started his creamy foods today but he is still wanting more after 4 ounces. Should we be more regular with his meals since they aren't solid yet?

I called my doctor's office and they told me to add the cream soups, you might give your doctor's office a call and ask too. I wouldn't start it unless you doctor o.k.'s it. I ate a lot of jello, popcicles, broth, and juice (apple/grape) the first week.
