My insurance does not cover lap band surgery. I am considered looking into other insurance. Has anyone had the surgery with insurance they have purchased individually ???? I live in texas if anyone has private insurance please let me know

I have caritan insurance and I must say unless you have a physician's office or facility that knows how to submit claims to Cariten don't look for much to be paid for. Not even prescriptions. 98% of the the prescriptions my family takes and that is generic drugs it doesn't cover.

Should you speak with someone at the insurance company get it in writing as to what they will cover. Just to keep you from having to have to pay extra later. Everything goes to deductables.
