Just Had Psych Eval...

I just got home from having my psych eval. She told me that everything seemed fine. I still have to go for my final appointment of my six months of medically supervised on Friday which is when everything will be submitted to the insurance company. But after my eval she was explaining the pre and post op procedure as far as appointments and diet. I ask her if she thought the insurance company would approve me and she said based on my chart and the fact that I have stuck with the six months. she things I will get approved. I can't wait until Friday when everything gets submitted. I think I will call the insurance company on Monday to "check the status" of everything.

So my question is how long did it take you to get approved after submitting everything to your insurance company?

Took me about 3 weeks from submission to receiving the pre-approval letter.

Wow who is your insurance? I should sign up!

I have BCBS and I was approved in 1 week!!...Good Luck!!!!!!

I was approved in less than a week.

It took me several months. I had everything asked of me finished sometime last fall, but I wasn't approved until Feburary of this year. Aetna fought approving the surgery tooth and nail. Finally the Bariatric Center sent in a pro-bono past WLS lawyer for me :w00t:.

about 4 days, but I also had to call them. Well I didn't have to, but I would've found out a few days later. All my paperwork was submitted on a Monday, I called the insurance company friday, so I would've found out Monday or Tuesday.
