I was banded Monday (1/7) I feel okay, kinda like I was in a fight, I'm sore....a little gassy. But my question is does anyone else's throat hurt? Mine hurts. I can feel everything go down, Ice pops help a bit but even taking the pain med hurts.

Yes, mine hurt the next day like I had a sore throat. It is becasue the tube that they put down your throat to breath can cause irration.

The "Beat Up" feeling is last night when you were sleeping your spouse took out their feeling on you.

Oohhh...yes I have serious throat pain. You can also see raw scrapes in my throat. I have HUGE tonsils, so that might have a lot to do with why I received such heavy scraping. I'm still sore, and I'm already 5 days out. *sigh* It's worse at night, of course. I can surely sympathize with ya.

Yes, it is from the breathing tube, it should go away in a couple of days. Try to gargle some salty water, or you can get throat gargle with some anaesthetic in it from the pharmacy.
