I also use Dr Geiss but I'm don't think they will see patients from other surgeons. It doesn't hurt to call but I'm fairly confident. (many Band docs seem to have this policy)

If getting into the city isn't a problem - NYU has an amazing reputation. There's also a Dr Garber in Huntington (?) who has a good rep. I think he does mostly RNY but a good number of bands as well.

Good luck on your search.

Anyone have a good Dr. on Long Island, NY? I have one but am not happy with the office anymore... any input woule help.

Thanks!

Where on Long Island are you located. I see Dr. Kaczmarski in Smithtown and I have been very happy with him. He was with Dr. Brathwaite, who has recently abandoned the practice in a shady manner to become the head of Bariatric Surgery at Winthrop. A new doctor has recently joined Dr. K. I think his name is Dr. Gilbert (?), but I have not met him and do not know anything about him. If you're interested, Dr. K.'s telephone number is 631-862-3801. Good luck!

I use Dr. Garber's office but see Dr Holover who is on my ins plan. I think what he chrages for a fill is VERY ridiciouls! It's 250.00 PLUS my 40.00 co-pay! I have heard of people paying only 100.00 per fill I think at LIJ. I have to look into it.
