pureed phase question...

I am on the second day of my pureed phase and I don't know, I am just not feeling this "full" feeling that I am reading about all over this forum. I know I'm not overdoing because I'm being careful to not give myself more than 1/2 a cup of anything...and it's not like i WANT to PB or anything, but I don't know I just don't feel like I'm getting that much restriction.

I was told I could have fork-mashed fish (any soft, flaky fish) so I had that last night for dinner and I had a piece of that with 2 spoons of mashed potatoes and really I was no longer hungry but I wasn't full either...

Anyone else feeling this? Or are you having more restriction than I am? I just hope it's working okay.

Well, i cant speak for you, but before the band, I would eat and eat until i was STUFFED. If i didnt feel that "God-I-cant-eat-another-bite" feeling, i just ate more.

My dr only allows me one ounce meals, 3 times a day. I think to avoid over eating and stretching the pouch.

Plus, you probably wont feel that "Full" feeling till you get a fill...

Good luck to you

I agree with Sheila, you won't feel any restriction until you start having fills, at the moment your Dr will be more concerned with you healing after the operation. Check with your Dr, but I was allowed to start thickening my food as I felt hungry - so that I was gradually working my way back to normal food. Perhaps your Dr will let you do this.

my doctor told me to eat a cup of food 3 times a day. and that i dont have to eat til im full just eat until im not hungry any more. so sometimes you may not have that full feeling. You will feel the full feeling once you get a fill they tell me. but you dont seem to be doing nothing wrong. but maybe try eating with baby spoons and slow your eating down a little bit and maybe youll get that full feeling.:)
