Protein Shakes Too Foamy

I’m testing different products, was thinking it’d be much less expensive making my own drinks from powder instead of buying premixed but have way too much foam! I’m using Isopure, whatever I blend up in a Bullet type blender winds up easily a quarter more fuller in the cup than before it was blended. Trying not to swallow so much air, any hints?

Make them ahead of time and let them sit in the fridge for a bit before you drink! That gives the foam time to bubble up and dissipate.

  • That is normal with Isopure, even the fruity ones. Make it ahead like suggested before, it should be gone after 3 minutes or so.

In my experience they all do it to varying degrees. You could try the protein waters. You can buy them premade or powder.

Great Idea ! I'm so tired of the "sip...burp...sip...burp" routine !

Are there any powders that don’t foam up like this?

I buy Muscle Milk off of amazon in a 5lb bag. 25g protein, 130 calories, 3g carbs, 2g fat. I mix up two servings with 16oz water in a blender bottle and bring it with me to work. I don't really notice any foam when drinking it. I'm also not using an electric blender to mix it.
