Thyroid Cancer after MGB, has anyone gone through this?

I am 7 months post op from my revision from sleeve to MGB and weight loss is at 85.5 pounds after surgery on 11/2022. I was just diagnosed with Follicular Thyroid Cancer and in the works of getting answers as to what the next steps are. My question is I am wondering if anyone has gone through this with weight loss surgery. If life is relatively the same and will losing weight be the same so long as I continue with the gym and my meal plans.

I haven't heard that before, but then the MGB is a newer surgery, so there probably aren't a lot of people on here who've had it (yet). Sorry to hear this!

  • Sorry to hear. I'm praying for you.
