Newbie

Hello, I’m new here, I just had my RNY this past Wednesday 3/15. I’m currently on the full liquid diet and finding it a bit of a challenge because it seems like the same foods/drinks. Today I incorporated liquidy cream of wheat and it was the most delightful thing I’ve eaten lol. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also I’m looking for a buddy or more for support.

  • I love the fairlife drinks, and will be getting them. The only problem is, is that they are so expensive.

I've said before, bariatric surgery is not a cheap hobby. LOL! Fairlife are expensive, but it's only temporary.

I’ve been doing the chicken broth, just tried the beef today… it was alright. I also have pudding which was good, and popsicles. I have jello, the only thing is, is that I don’t care for the sugar free after taste, if that makes sense lol

Because I was so scared of not meeting my protein goals, I just drank 3 shakes a day. Anything else was just extra, but I was relying on the shakes throughout my entire liquid and puree stages.

Jeaniebug, what brand of Protein powder/shakes did you use?

Fairlife were really the only ones I liked. Most of the others made me nauseous. I didn't use powders to drink, I used premade shakes. I used powders to add to things like soup and I mainly used the Isopure unflavored.

Whey protein isolate is what you want, not whey protein concentrate.
