I am really new here and I don't think I set it up right. I use a computer alot that's not my email and when I get home and check my email it's full of all the threads that I posted to and all the replies. Is there a way to set this so that will not happen?

You need to change the settings under your UserCP.

User CP > Edit Options > Default Thread Subscription Mode. You can not subscribe, or opt out of email notification.
