Methotrexate

I was wondering if anyone here takes methotrexate pills for RA and if you have any trouble with them after surgery. Did you need to stop methotrexate prior to your surgery? Were any vitamin adjustments needed since you probably already take extra folic acid? I take prescription folic acid twice a day to help offset the side effects from the methotrexate. I am checking with my doctors, but I’m wondering what others’ experience has been.
