Having duodenal switch surgery with the best decision I've ever made. I am almost 2 years posted and have lost 238 lb so far. I still have about 60 lb to go but so far so good. I highly recommend the surgery to anyone considering it.

Hi I am getting this surgery later this year. I was going in thinking about the bypass and he suggested based on my age, BMI and weight fit the DS. It just sounds so extreme. Can you tell me why you decided on this and things to consider me? I am not concerned about the vitamins, the surgery sounds really drastic

It wasn't so bad for me but they had great meds

Two days in the hospital. I could have stayed three but I wanted out of there. I had a pain pump but it fell out after 24 hours.
