Surgery after Covid

Has anyone had surgery after having Covid. I had Covid in July and am due for surgery end of September. I am very nervous.

Yes, I had COVID in April and was sleeved 8-26. I still don’t have my smell and taste back 100%, and what I can smell and taste is off. That’s the only thing that has made this recovery hard.

I had COVID in April. I still have antibodies and did 2 negative COVID tests before my VSG surgery on 8/31/2020. I did not have any symptoms or anything that I think would be COVID related.

  • Thanks for the info. Makes me feel better knowing others are doing well post Covid and surgery.

Thank you so much for responding. I've been so worried about this. All my Dr's basically say we just dont know if Covid will cause issues after surgery. I had covid in july and am scheduled for surgery the end of this month. You've given me some peace of mind! Thanks?
