How common are ulcers?

How common are post surgery ulcers? I know you could potentially develop one soon after surgery while still healing, but I’ve been seeing thing about people years out after RNY with ulcer complications. Is this a big issues with the surgery?

not really. They happen, but it doesn't seem like we see them on here too often. You do need to avoid NSAIDs, though, as they can cause them.
