Hi everyone, I am new to this website, and am excited to get to know everyone.
So for the crazy question - After the post op diet, what diet are you following? I know this is a crazy question, but the only diet information I have recieved from my doctor is the immediate post op diets. Because my starting BMI was right on the borderline (35), They did not want to do a pre-op diet prior to sugery. In fact, I took the small class they had to explain the procedure and post op diet and then 2 weeks later I was approved and had surgery. That being said I am quite educated in this procedure and have done my homework. So what I have heard is that there are several diets that your doctor may recommend. One is the pyramid diet with low fat, atkins, south beach, Which one are you on? What seems to be the most successful?
The reason I am asking is that I have lost only 4-5 lbs since the surgury and my appointment is not ofr another 2 weeks. I would like to see some progress. I am eager to get going. I started exercising last week - feeling good about that.
