Pulling pain in abdomen

Hey everyone. My surgery went great and I'm healing at a good pace. My problem is...whenever I get up to walk around, I have this pulling pain that goes from my left side down into my abdomen. It is preventing me from walking very much. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I'm really hoping I don't have a hernia. :cry

Thanks!

I don't know if my pains were the same but there was a period about a week after my surgery that I was convinced that things were pulled loose inside of me and all mashed together when I would lay on my left side. I mentioned it to my doctor at my post-op visit and it was clear this was normal. Within a couple of days, it felt fine again.

My advice would be to keep an eye on it and any other symptoms such as fever or increased redness or swelling around your incisions and if it doesn't subside, call your doctor. But hopefully, it's just part of the healing.

Take care!
