Pre-Op diet questions

I have a question about pre op diets. The one I am on is a Slim-slow for breakfast and lunch, and a lean cuisine meal for dinner. I can also have some sugar free jello in there. I am tired of the sweets! Y'all think it would be ok for me to have some chicken broth? I just want something warm and savory on my tastebuds!

Hey, I am on the 28th too! I suppose that makes us twins of some sort???

I went ahead and found a very low fat/carb/EVERYTHING!!! Chinese soup mix. It pretty much staved off the craving for a hearty/savory food. I also got some sugar-free Popsicles... I have not had them since I was a kid! now I know why kids want to eat them all the time! those things have crack in them or something. I know it!

I was good though. I just had one! even though they are on the "free foods" list.

starving twins lol .... thanks for the popsicle advice...i hadnt gotten them yet since i really love ice cream and i dont know a popsicle will do it for me..ugh..... i too had the insurance red tape .... 6 months of diet and weigh ins monthly with reg dr... now the only worry i have is....getting through thanksgiving day... i am cooking...because i love my family.... its hard not to eat..but i'm doing it!!!... let me know about ur progress... its nice to have a same date person to talk with..oh...and one thing that helps me is the before and after pixs on here....i sip my broth and dream of my day lol.......good luck!!!:heh::clap2: i will be thin i will be thin...

Cagstorm,

My doctor required a two week liquid diet pre-op. No solids, but unlimited broth as if that were a consolation.

Good luck with your diet and banding... Also, have you strategized how you will handle Turkey day? That is going to be tough for me because I am still on my two week post op liquid diet....
