shoulder pain after eating/drinking

Recommended Posts

I was having horrible reflux and had all the Fluid removed from my band. Today I went for a barium swallow, still waiting on the results. Dr. didn't see anything at the time, but will review the images. The past couple weeks I have had shoulder pain when I eat or drink. It isn't right away, but within 10 minutes of eating/drinking. Has anyone experienced this? What was the outcome? Thank you for your time 😁

I too am having this pain. How did it work out for you. I have no other signs of leak. Just wanted to know how you were now.

I had the band removed, I no longer have the pain. Other then gaining a few pounds I am feeling sooo much better. Good luck, I hope you feel relief soon, nothing worse then having that pain!

This is similar to what happened to me. The pain would travel from my abdomen to my right shoulder and arm. It was triggered after eating and when I would lay down. I just had an upper GI and a prolapse was found. Recommendation is to have the band removed.

I had the sleeve, not the band, but the pain eventually subsided. It’s been a few months now and I don’t remember when I last had it. I’m very glad it’s over because it had me very worried.
my doc won’t even perform lap band anymore. He says they cause way too many complications. He’s very much pro sleeve sayin that he's seen so much success with the sleeve in his patients.
at our information meeting he talked a woman out of getting the band because he said weight loss was not significant enough and most people end up having it removed in the end and regain all the weight.
If you do remove your band, consider the sleeve. I highly recommend it.
good luck in your journey.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
