Banded gastric bypass

Hi All,
I m new here . I had my bypass surgery around 15 days ago, but still am sore around incision areas. Any idea how long does it take for the pain to go away completely ?
I would really appreciate Any suggestions on making my recovery better. Thanks!

    Thanks for your response. No redness but yes a little tender though, around incision area. I think I should give it a few more days to heal.

Soreness is generally different for everyone. Are the areas around the incisions red and tender? If so then you should call your doctors office to be checked for an infection, although rare, can happen. After about a 5-7 days mine were no longer sore and then a few days later started to itch as they scabbed over and started to heal. Also, the soreness could greatly depend on how big the incisions are in your skin - the larger the cut, the longer it will take to heal.

My smaller ones didn’t bother me long but the glue the surgeon put over them itched like crazy. The larger one by my belly button was sore for a few weeks and even after when I moved a certain way. Felt like a pulled muscle
