Can anyone offer assistance on if the Gastric Sleeve is covered by Tricare Select and if it is, what are the requirements to get approved?

Hi, I was just sleeved in November under Tricare Select. I am not sure if the regions are different, but I am east coast region. The only tricare requirement was three months of physicians assisted weight loss. Through the surgeon I had to do a nutrition consult and visit with a psychologist. Tricare did cover the psych visit but not the nutritionist visit. I hope this information helps.
