Hey guys! Starting to research the best protein coffee options for when I’m ready to drink caffeine again. Everything seems so expensive and I don’t like buying before I try something so it’s been a tough one to navigate. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Do you use regular or decaf? And if it’s regular, how long after surgery were you able to have it?? (I quit cold turkey 4 mos ago and I miss it so much!!)

Regular and I was about 4 months out!

My team never made me quit caffeine, although I did for the week before and at least the week after surgery. Maybe two weeks? Then I started drinking caffeinated black tea now and then. I was probably at three weeks before I could handle any kind of coffee, and aside from drinking decaf just for the flavor (the BP store sells an acid-free variety), I really enjoy mixing a shot of espresso with a chocolate Muscle Milk protein shake. (My team doesn't allow Premier, but I remember the flavor from some fad diet or other when I tried them in the past: that's also really good.)

I'm not quite a month out. Coffee's the best ☕️
