Exercise routine

Anyone know of a good resource for finding a exercise routing for both pre and post op? I am having a hard time because the days are now too dark to safely run/walk where i am and i rather sit on a bed of nail than run on a treadmill.

Does it have to be in your house/free? I go to the Y everyday and do a variety of strength training circuits, exercise clesses, and swimming laps.

The fitbit app has a ton of free workouts, youtube is a good resource, and old school dvds.

I bought a Wii Fit a few years ago. It's great for those crappy rainy days or when it's too hot to be outside. I also bought a wind trainer for my bike and can ride it undercover of my patio if I feel like riding. I'm lucky that where I live there's a park across the street from my house with all kinds of free exercise equipment provided by the local council. My partner and I go there very early in the morning (before the sun makes it hot and the snakes come out - here in Western Australia it's spring, so we have baby snakes at this time of year in bushland).

I think my problem is that I loathe running but still need cardio but prefer to lift weights but want help deciding a routine for both and was wondering if someone knew of a website , an app, or if they are in the DC area a trainer who would help me create one.
